Windows 7 Pro (version student discount) transfer of license?
Please note that I'm talking about the $ 29.99 student discount Windows Pro here: Any http://www.microsoft.com/student/discounts/theultimatesteal-us/default.aspx 7 whether you can "download" Windows 7 Pro license from one computer to another? I want to do a clean install XP upgrade on my right now. But then I want to "revert" (or reinstall) the computer XP and keep it like XP, to install Windows 7 Pro on a different computer. Is there any way? If yes, how would I do that? Computer: Now you have Windows XP. Want to upgrade to Windows 7 Pro Futuro want to change it back to XP. Computer B: Now you have Windows Home Premium 7. Future want to upgrade to Windows 7 Pro with the license used up in the computer A.
It would be nice if you can clarify exactly what computers you have now and what's on them, and how you want them to be at the end. You can "temporarily" to install Windows 7 on something for 30 days without activation. All you're doing with your "XP" computer going back to XP can be done within that time, no problem. If you need to permanently move its Windows 7 install from one computer to another, you may need eventually connect with Microsoft to something like the phone activation. Your upgrade should work without student differently than a normal retail for these things.
