Windows 7 Offer Student

Microsoft makes Windows 7 at a low price for students to update. How does it work?

I was wondering if when I pay and download it comes with an installer or do I need to burn it as an iso to install. Thanks

Hi there, this FAQ is a special offer, available at https: / / windows7.digitalriver.com/servlet/ControllerServlet? DisplayHelpPage Action = & locale = en_US & SiteID = mswpus. "If you buy the version 64-bit Windows 7, will be given the choice of two types of download: * Download EXE is for users who are running Windows Vista 64-bit before installation. This is the simplest method of installation. * The download of the ISO is for users who are running Windows XP or Windows Vista 32-bit. This may be an installation more complex, but is required when moving from one operating system 32-bit operating system for a 64-bit. To use the ISO download you should review our information page Update located at the following link. About Windows 7 offers for students?

Microsoft is offering for students of Windows 7 to $ 30. But it is an upgrade or a full installation disc? Because I have Vista Basic, and for win7 as I understand the need for a full copy (not an upgrade) of Windows 7. Link to website: http://windows7.digitalriver.com/store/mswpus/en_US/DisplayHomePage?resid=y9GOtwoBAkYAAGcegRYAAAAY&rests=1257927723616 again, I'm trying find out if it is a full copy or an update if the answer to the above question is the latter, can I upgrade to Windows 7 in Vista Home Basic? Thanks

Here's the deal, pay for the update from Microsoft. All they do is give you a key and a download. Then get a new installation disc of a computer store. They are like 5-15 bucks. Back up your files and do a fresh install and use that key student who sold it.
