CD / DVD Drive Issue Code 10 This device can not start?

The unit will be open but not read or write. That just happened recently. I uninstalled the editor of ISO that I had to see what was confilicting but no luck. In Device Manager this is the message I get "This device can not start. (Code 10) "I am running Windows 7 A unit is a Sony AD-7203A Optiaric. I upgraded to 7 of view, but the drive worked after the upgrade, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Any program that you had installed (usually a CD / DVD program related, such as Nero InCD or equivalent) filter drivers installed. Somehow, when you uninstalled the program, it does not remove the filter drivers record. Then your CD / DVD has all the drivers installed that the record says that he needs.
