Mac OS X Leopard problem with file sharing in Windows XP Home?

I've shared Windows XP Shared Documents folder on a wireless router with a MacBook running Leopard. The shared folder docs show up well in the Finder. When I open it, it automatically connects you as a "guest" with privileges guest (can not move, erase, write, etc..) Gives the option to connect as a registered user with your username and password for Windows XP. But each time I get them, nothing happens, and I'm still only client privilege! Why does nothing happen when I enter my data! Can anyone help me please?

Yes down-grade to Tiger. It seems that Apple made the same mistake Microsoft made in launching its new operating system wayyyyyy soon. His pain was higher in the @ $ $ to share files between two operating systems. With Tiger was so easy and never had a problem, why the hell change Apple's something that worked so well? Im actually using my partition XP more than my Leopard, because half the trash in Leopard is not working properly, as well as buggy as all hell. If your thinking of upgrading to leopard. No!
