Lately, Apple has gained much popularity everywhere. Many people are talking about switching from Windows to Mac, and I have been in many arguments about what better. (Note: I will write a later article on why Macs are better than PCs just to be fair).

7 reasons why a PC is better than one Mac:

1. Personalization

PCs are infinitely more customizable than Macs. It is very simple to build your own computer, choosing the exact parts you need to meet your needs. There are endless combinations and choice when it comes to a PC. If you do not want one, there are lots of people who will make one for you to meet their own needs. Retailers such as Dell and HP also offer many options to customize a PC. Macs but are very limited. They usually do not use the latest hardware for about a year, while the PCs already had them. You not see any Macs with Core i7 is inside them. Any extras you want to add on the cost a fortune, for example, add an extra 4 GB of RAM will cost around $ 800, but if you have a PC, a similar upgrade to 4GB of DDR3 memory will cost a maximum of $ 200, but can be purchased by $ 150. This makes a PC more affordable. There is so much choice out there as to the parts you can make it look like you want. Apple only offers some variations of their computers with little customization options at a price set too high. Not to mention the premium you pay for the logo Apple.

2. Hardware and Software Compatibility

Many people argue that Macs have the software enough to keep them go. The fact is that if you have a PC, you have way more options. You have more choice when it comes to any software or hardware. Basically every piece of software compatible with the Mac is compatible with PC (except for software made by Apple). PC has more choice when it comes to games and any game a PC will work better if you have a newer computer as the newest Macs have outdated hardware. Mac users will always have to always check whether the hardware or software you're buying is compatible with Mac Yes, you can run Windows on a Mac, but what's the point. If you are going to use Windows for everything, then you might as well buy a PC. Not to mention all Office for Mac software is incredibly difficult to use and completely illogical. Some basic commands can be easily found in the Windows version of Office are incredibly difficult to find in a Mac Not to mention Mac users do not get a slick interface Ribbon of the new Office 2007.

3. Full Operating Systems

Apple charges its customers for small updates to their systems operational (also known as Service Packs). Microsoft gives these out for free and charges users only for a totally new operating system. This will significantly increase the cost of your Mac if you intend to Whenever Apple releases a new version of Mac OS X. The new features that are given in these updates are very insignificant and none have reviewed the operating system. Is it really worth the price?

4. Windows Explorer is much more powerful

Windows Explorer provides many more features in the Finder. It has cut and paste to move files around easily, and wing window offering resizing all corners or edges instead of just one. Not to mention that it is much easier to exit a program in Windows that the Mac by simply pressing the X button instead of Command + Q. Apple maximize button does not even work properly.

5. Support

There are many more users PC users Mac This makes it very easy for anyone having trouble finding someone to help them. Many people know much about PCs from Apple, however community is limited and there are very few places where you can get help. Apple Support also has a history of denying a problem exists, even though they clearly do not. Already not to mention security for Dells and HPs cost much less than Applecare Apple.

6. OEM

Microsoft offers the OEM version of your operating system for much cheaper than the retail package. Apple does not sell OEMs. Vista Ultimate used to retail for $ 799, but at the same time, the OEM cost about $ 280. This gives system integrators much lower costs when compared with Apple computers and when they return to a point, much more customizable as well.

7. Deleting Shortcuts actually works

Apple has a very visual operating system while Windows is more intuitive and logical. For example, when you want to delete desktop shortcuts, you can simply hit the delete key. When you want to do this on a Mac, you need to drag the icon to the trash. It makes a cool effect, but it is so annoying. The menu bar of Mac is also really annoying. When you minimize a program, the menu bar is there that also becomes annoying when trying to access other things such Finder. This makes using a Mac a real pain to use.
