Windows 7 Photoshop 7.0
Why can not I open Photoshop 7.0 anymore?
I have a Windows 98SE computer. I had Photoshop 7.0 to 2 years, and I've used since without problems. Now that I open it, a message box tells me that there is enough RAM to open Photoshop (and no other programs running). Why is this happening?
Assuming that there is nothing wrong with the system's hardware (RAM failing etc.), there are a couple of things you can try: - 1. Because Photoshop is booting, try pressing CTRL + ALT + SHIFT. This will ask you to install to dump their preferences. I'm thinking here if you (maybe) added a plugin that is not built for PS 7 or is too heavy on RAM. This will give you the chance to recitfy situation. 2. Check your hard disk if you ran out of disk space scracth. The key to this is to look for "PHOTOSHOP.TMP" files anywhere on your system. If you find them, delete them. You will not harm your plant, and it might just get you set up. In the absence of both the above questions, you may have a corrupt DLL / VXD place in Photoshop installation. If you can, uninstall and reinstall. View the progress of the installation - if your system hardware has changed significantly, that is, when you will be informed. Good Luck Scots
